気 に なる あの 娘 / Ki ni Naru Ano Ko

Soutaiseiriron, lit. Theory of Relativity is a group I learned of a few years ago, who to me have a very nostalgic feeling sound. I was super passingly familiar with the lead vocalist Yakushimaru Etsuko via some of her solo work, specifically for Mawaru Penguindrum of all things, mostly due to the unique sound her vocals carry. A lot of Soutaiseiriron’s music takes that and goes even further with it, so I find myself coming back to a lot of their songs every once in a while (one such instance being what prompted selecting this!).

This is definitely one of their more energetic songs, which at first I hadn’t paid much attention to, until one day where I distinctly recall driving somewhere when it came on and just jamming out- it quickly became a heavy repeat play for a few days after.
